One thing I realized noone can live without yet get annoyed at it is DC++, the client/protocol powering KGP?s filesharing network. And I realize it annoys me like a few other things, so i decided to document them.
Things that annoy me about DC++
- People spamming asking for proxies: While trying to have a meaningful chat, you find a hundred ?proxci plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?s popping up all over the place and that is highly annoying. Since DC is open source, I thought I?d eventually make a little ?proxy bar? that displays the current working proxy. Even more annoyinng is when you give them one and they continue.
- Pointless searchers: Within 10 days of getting it, all the glitz and glamour of DC fades and you?re reduced to searching everyone?s file list. Not me. It bothers me to no end when my friends drone on with a dead look on their faces looking for something new.
- The leechers: The people who come online, download and go.
- The cs/aoe people: i really don?t want to describe this.
- The people who send me threats: I got like 10 of these now and it?s starting to annoy me. If it gets annoying enough I will post it.
