This one guy at Google had a huge 800GB portable hard drive filled with movies. A script would scan the hard drive and create a database from many different review sites, and made everything searchable and sortable. I didn't do it as anything innovative, just to give HTML scraping a try. Beautifulsoup is really nice and I wrote a small reddit commandline browser earlier.
