My Five Step Program

Lately I’d been getting rather annoyed. Mainly because a lot of commitments that I’d committed to weren’t seeing their end anytime soon. For example, my wordpress theme looked worse and worse every day I worked on it and something seemed to go wrong each time. Also my comic script, which is coming out rather nice didn’t seem to be working out as well as I wanted it to be. Apart from that almost all other computer involving activities of mine were stalling. My ruby on rails train stopped so long behind I don’t remember syntax anymore. Then I decided to employ my legendary patented five step program to solve all your problems.

Steps 1 to 4: involve folding selected fingers on your left hand down while leaving the other ones standing (only the truly deserving ones will realize which ones to fold down).
Step 5: Show that bad boy to the world. Brandish it like your own little weapon.

How my five step program helped me: Here’s what went through my head:
“Now if I make a theme and let it loose among the millions others available or use a substandard one myself, and it looks shitty. Anyway the javascript doesen’t work and the design looks bad. Let’s just hack another new theme and make a nice looking site. A noob won’t be able to tell the difference anyways” And that’s it, I stuck with redoable 1.1 theme, and it looks rather okay by my standards. Just a little css changed and everything was fine.

The essence of the five step program is to reason extremely logically and say “FU*K you” to general opinion, people who you’ve gloated about what results you’d get, etc. But remember only to goals you start losing vision in. Now I have all the time to focus on what’s more important: The comic, my electronics project, and all the lovely things to do out in the real world.

The funny thing is that I might end up realizing my goal after all. I just want to make a few extra bucks through adsense for kicks. I also like traffic and comments. Comments are nice…yes…

In other news, I’ve been listening to a lot of Viking metal, more specifically, Amon Amarth and Enslaved. There’s one song called “Gods of War, Arise” by Amon Amarth, from the album “With Oden on our side” that I really like.

I also got hold of a copy of The Dilbert Principle Plan to read it after posting this. Life is good :)

Current music: Amon Amarth, “Gods of War Arise”
