3 hours in front of the stupid comp and studying while a slow ticker ticked down and then the display was corrupted. I tried 5 times but in vain. I decided to give up linux and install Vista Instead.

Which distro that u use? Some monitor did not support Linux and most of them are from Acer and Likom brands. Try to learn Linux slow and steady pal. Enjoy the learning process.
