Well, I’ve made a lot of changes to the site today. Most notably, I replaced the home page with the blog. I will no longer maintain three seperate blogs, but rather, one blog catering to most people. Anyways, I shifted the theme of the site to the minimalistic and hi-tech K2(kubrick2) theme for wordpress instead of the earlier durable 0.2 theme by andy keating, which was very pretty but sucked on usability. I’ll put on sidebars and other things.
I noticed this mainly because people who were clicking on the main homepage didn’t go ahead. the bounce rate was very high and the blogs didn’t recieve much readability. I decided that the front page ought to be dynamic. Also notable is that I removed the categories system and implemented ultimate tag warrior for a tagged system for the blogs, which I’m testing out now.
Overall, I hope that these changes make things better for the blog. In the works are a flash header and a small music player, along with a linked static area for the things like resume/etc.
Livewriter keeps getting better and better. It now has plugins for UTW and flickr which means a lot more pictures from now on.
