Okay, the name might’ve been a little misleading, even untrue, but Mattel recalled more toys because they contained lead paints, and there were numerous rumors, most of them false about lead paints and other hazardous materials. Now I’m pretty certain a microscopic amount of lead won’t do all too much harm unless your little kid is repeatedly sucking on the doll or stroking it in which case you have much bigger issues to worry about.
Again, turns out the lead content, as investigation goes on, is because of failing quality of the Chinese vendors.
Or is it? I just hope I don’t unbox a Barbie box to find one of these:
Come to think of it, I hope I never unbox a Barbie box, period.
P.S. I have nothing against the chinese. You guys rock. You make great ipods. I wonder what would happen if mattel outsourced toy design to apple. The iDoll?
