A quick check on right now It’s Five in the morning. I’ve spent the last 11 hours right in this chair. In 11 measly hours, I learnt a new programming lib, and wrote 700 lines of code and learnt up 100 pages worth of theory for what it’s worth for a viva.
Allright, I know I’m gloating uncontrollably but I’m sickeningly delirious and haven’t written anything for a while. This is quite a rather commendable feat for me and it reminds me that I still can write some code. This is the largest piece of code that I’ve written in 2 years, and I’ve still gotten a little rusty.
The metal and a generous helping of coffee at 2 kept me going, and I realized one thing today - Night outs suck. I really don’t want to study from now on if I’m sleepy unless I absolutely have to. As far as studying or heck, working is concerned, most people set time as the benchmark and so did I. But this’ll mean I have to wake up in the mornings, and we know that it’ll never happen. So the night should do.
Tech speak for tonight:
GLUT: the opengl utility toolkit is god-amazing. Opengl to code by itself is a pain in the ass, but this makes it so easy.
OUTLOOK: I finally tunneled through my proxy successfully and am downloading all my mail locally. About 3000 e-mails downloaded in one night, which is pretty decent for a port 995 connection tunneled through the firewall.
OUTLOOK+GOOGLE DESKTOP: Amazing. I reinstalled google desktop as some
gadget was giving me a lot of problems as whenever I install a cpu monitor, the mouse used to stagger on cpu peak which was extreeemely annoying to me. But I got some really nice calendar gadgets along with a big analog clock that I’ve always been wanting. This is what I always wanted, an analog clock and a calendar. Outlook is almost as good as korganizer in terms of features. I still prefer korganizer though.
UPTIME: More on uptime.
ORKUT: Though I still loathe orkut with white hot loathing, I’ve been checking it once a day, which is very weird.
Allright I really gota sleep. I have to give my viva tommorow morning.
good luck for the exams
do well.
and guess what? am getting my new comp this week….:D 120gb sata 1gb *does the happy dance*
