There were a few new members in my dormitory wing, a few little kittens. A couple of them were scavenging around for food so I gave them what I had and after that the little things started coming to my room whenever they damn well pleased. One of them even came inside my room and I had to shoo it out. Though it’s not the right thing to do, last thing I want is a stray animal in my room(with the exception of me and my friends of course).
It’s monsoon in kharagpur and it’s raining almost always. The entire wing was wet and I was greeted at 1 am in the night by the two kittens trying to get into my room. Sorry again guys, and I had to shut them out. But the heart wrenching mewing wouldn’t let me do any work. Moreover I was going back home for a few weeks in a few hours, so I just led them to a dry spot near the water coolers and put out a few newspapers so they could have a dry spot. They seemed pretty pleased and went to sleep, leaving me to pack in peace.
Right now only one thing is going through my mind, what’ll happen to them tomorrow when I’m not around. I really gotta do something to take my mind of things.
But this post is in memory of my two almost-pet kittens: pepper and whiskers.
