Ever wanted to sing along with a song but the vocals were too loud, here’s a neat little hack that allows you to easily remove the vocals part from most songs. I use winamp for this tutorial. The screenshots are rather self explanatory
Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Step 4:

Though this does not work on all songs it works on most of them. it’s also a great tool cause it removes some of the drums and overemphasizes on the rythym guitar. Few bands that I tested this out with:
- Iron maiden - Works
- Children of Bodom: Works amazing
- Megadeth - Works
- System of a Down - Works
- Michelle Branch - Works
- Dragonforce - Works
- Nickelback - Works Partially
- Rammstien - Works Partially
- Pantera - Does not Work
- Queenschrye - Does not Work
- In flames - Works
- Metallica - Works
I know this is a pretty old trick, and there was something cooler, my earphones got partially cut and there’s some loose contact because of which all sound passing through that appears that vocals are gone. Great fun at parties.
