Huge changes on the online front today. Changed my host from frihost to 110mb, one of the best and fastest hosts out there. I’m pretty glad I got this host as not too many people manage to get it in time. Anyways, I had to tunnel through the firewall and get an ftp access and get all my hacked files along with the plugins/etc and reupload it into the new server and after that, back up the sql database and gzip it, following which I had done with a little difficulty. After that I did the most important thing, go to the domain registar and change the nameservers from the frih ones to the 110mb ones. The changes are supposed to take place in 48 hours but for me they took only 1 hour. Just long enough for me to get some important files before the data reference is lost.
So ultimately at the end of the nearly six hour wait, I have the same blog with kickass php rendering time, which I don’t notice, courtesy of kgp’s snail proxies, which’ve also blocked ftp for good measure.
The best part is that I got quite a bit of studying done in the process. I got to write 3 records and since I’m submitting a little late, I managed to do them extremely neat, which is very rare in my case. Also managed to study for a lab test tomorrow.
Go Me!
