A Midsemester Night’s Dream - Pt.1

One of the most interesting memories I’ve had of my first year hall is the amount people used to study. People hoping to top the exams and change their branch. Before the exams the corridors was alit with activity at five in the morning. At that time, there was a force that compelled everyone (but me) to study their asses off. That force made people score exceptionally well and put them ahead in “Life”. Now, as a second year, that force has completely vanished. Or rather, the fear, has vanished. The funny part is that nobody’s bothered anymore and even a week before the exams started people were doing all sorts of junk. Being a person with below-average grades, and thus, “intelligence”, I thought I’d pull a fast one on them and get a head start. I knew it’d fail, but it was worth a shot.

I sat. I sat in front of the book in front of the first page, and seldom made any progress. When the exams drew nearer, I grew worried, not because I would have to study 40 hours a day to complete the portions, but that I had no concentration at all. So I thought of the most radical idea and asked my good friend, Google for hypnotism tools. I found something that looked very promising. So I got it and it didn’t work. So I decided to go on a more radical path. I drew a dot on the wall, and stared at it for half an hour, clearing all the thoughts in my head. And at the end of it, my productivity increased hundredfold.

Now came the time to tackle the other problem-time, or rather, my lack of it. Fueled by frequent shots of coffee and heavy metal, I managed to pull off with 3-4 hours of sleep a day for 3 days. And now that I’ve gotten a few hours to breathe, the first thing I did was to sleep.

Stay I’ll write part 2 tommorow or soon about how all my exams went.
